Maths
Operators: + - * / ^ %, plus ×, ÷, x, times and mod. Parentheses work.

Percentages and phrases

Dates
Count days or weeks to a date: days until 25 dec, weeks until christmas. Named targets include christmas, halloween and new year. Weekday phrases work: next friday, monday in 3 weeks.

Currency
Type 100 usd in eur. Beam understands symbols ($ € £ ¥ ₹ and A$ C$ NZ$ HK$ S$), words like dollars, euros, quid and bucks, and Bitcoin. Suffixes k and m work: 5k usd. A bare amount with a currency converts to your local currency.
Where the rates come from
Beam fetches rates from open.er-api.com with USD as the base. Rates are cached, refreshed when more than 12 hours old, and the request times out after 4 seconds. If you are offline, Beam uses the cached rates.
Time zones
Try time in tokyo, london time or 3pm london in sydney. noon and midnight work. Cities and countries have aliases.
